Brief //

The local council beleived that this large area of 1950’s retail space opposite the main train station needed a revamp. Our solution was to redevelop the local retail area keeping the character of the town of Caterham, which lies just a commuters distance away from London. in addition to a refereshed retail arcade, new affordable living flats were introduced on 4 additional floors.

 

Proposals // 

1. Msterplan of 1 hectare site.

2. Redevelopment of existing retail arcade.

3. Parking strategy below ground.

4. 4 additional floors of flats above retail.
