BRIEF //

The client, as well as the local council felt that the main retail attraction for the city of Inverness was in need for a major rejuvination. POD architects were commissioned to re-do the masterplan of the shopping mall, land which included a public realm called Falcon Square. The project involved a number of constraints including dealing with a grade II listed building.

PROPOSALS //

1. Extension to the retail units on the main elevation of the shopping centre, providing 3 new Food & Beverage units, and an additional 5 retail units. 

2. An extension to a grade II listed building, creating a new restaurant to serve Falcon Square.

3. A new rooftop bar on the top of the mall, taking advantage of views of River Ness.
