BRIEF //

In respsonse to London’s housing crisis and to revitalise an iconic brutalist building in disrepair, we were asked to come up with potential solutions for affordable housing. The project aims to combine people in key professions in a live-work solution and providing an environment where people could bring together solutions for the space and resource issues London is suffering from.

CONCEPT //

To aid Tower Hamlet’s council, one of the areas of London with the biggest space issues, a live-work Think Tank organisation is proposed. The proposal provides a low cost living solution for those wanting to contribute their spare time as part of a micro community of professionals wanting to improve the quality of living and opportunities of the local population. Professions include: Educators & Journalists, Scientists, IT professionals, Architects, Lawyers and Environmentalists.

• 6 sets of personlised accomodation. 120 persons within 40 flats.

• Shared cross-discipline workspace.

• Liesure facilities specific to each profession.

• 20 persons per profession.
